会話における闘争

 3.18.の記述で触れた『明暗』における「勝ち負け」意識の問題に関してJamesonはのちにこう述べる。
 ”This is not, I think, the Hegelian struggle for recognition, which on the German philosopher's view marks the very nature of interpersonality ("each consciousness desires the death of the other one"). Rather, in Soseki's world, some larger network of forces seems to hold these individual subjects in its grasp and to determine convulsive efforts by each of them that are not individually desired.”(Fredric Jameson,Soseki and Western Modernism)
 ここまで来れば主客問題まではあと一歩である。おそらく翻訳を通してでしか読んでいないはずなのにここまで洞察する。さすがJameson。鋭い。
